The Liberty is an outstanding luxury hotel with a unique twist. It use to be a prison! Yes, indeed. Up until 1990 it housed bad guys!

However, now it has transformed into this beautiful place to stay while in the great city of Boston.

The rooms are extremely comfortable and the staff is excellent! In addition, this property has some nice places to connect over terrific drinks and food as well. The names of these establishments also fit into the theme of the hotel as well - Clink, Alibi, The Yard.....

The other nice thing about The Liberty is that the location is perfect. It sits between Cambridge and Boston proper. It is also close to the airport.

Overall it is an outstanding Marriott property and is my first choice always when coming to Boston.

A nice night away for this country girl. Would've liked to know the layout of our floor when it was a jail bit it was super cool. We stayed on the old jail side and we're warned there was a DJ and given the option to move. At 10 or so, the dj started. Sounded like quite the party (truly wish we went out to look). If you're a light sleeper, this will be a problem, so be aware of the schedule. Good food. Great coffee, though none in the room, which bummed my other half out. Wish they had make-up remover clothes in the bathroom. There is valet parking. A bit of a wait for pickup and be warned that (again, a country girl here), the cost is $65 for a night.

My stay at The Liberty Hotel in Cleburne this past weekend was FANTASTIC!
The General Managers Nathan & Cara were truly amazing. Helpful, warm & accommodating.
My room was perfect! Definitely my favorite hotel! A sincere thank you to all who work at Liberty Hotel in making my stay memorable!

The Liberty Hotel does not disappoint. Hotel is always decorated very well. Service is always above expectations. Hotel lobby bar gets a little crowded in the evenings, especially weekends. The restaurants are some of the best in that area. Build your own Bloody Mary brunch is a favorite as well.

Beautiful hotel. Conveniently located next to MGH if you are visiting or interviewing there. The original architecture of the jail compliments the artistic style and decoration of the hotel. Even the rooms were prison themed with a safe as the night stand and key decorations around. The main atrium is stunning with 4 floors of catwalks that one can enjoy a cocktail from. It was too cold for me to visit the outdoor portion, but judging by it's appearance, it would be wonderful in warmer weather. On Thursday nights, there is a DJ and fashion show in the main atrium for those interested. Overall an excellent stay. I have already recommended it to family and friends and will be staying again if I'm back in the area.
