Fish is brain food, so it makes perfect sense that Legal Sea Foods is a popular destination for those in Harvard Square. Located in the courtyard of the Charles Hotel, our restaurant evokes the simple style of the original Legal Sea Foods that was in nearby Inman Square, Cambridge. In warmer months our outside patio reels in those who choose the fresh seafood and fresh air combo.

Excellent seafood. I had a mixed grilled plate of some sort with all sorts of grilled things from the sea, it was very well done. Service was timely and not too precious. Our large party was accommodated nicely. All good things!

Personality which made the experience so great

Food was delicious - so fresh! Service was great. Just what I expected from Legal Sea Foods. Yes, quality will cost you a little, but it was worth it.

I have always loved Legal Seafoods since I first visited a couple of decades ago. I hadn't been in a while, but visited last night while in Boston on a trip. I'm happy to report that the food, cocktails, and service are all just as good as I remember them from nearly a decade ago. We ate at the location near Harvard square in Cambridge, and dined at the bar. My fried clams were cooked perfectly and they most certainly were not the fried clams you get in the frozen package. My girlfriend's Arctic Char was also quite delicious and cooked perfectly as well. Great service by the bartender Dan.

What a disappointment. I absolutely love the Legal Seafood in Chestnut Hill, happened to pass by the one in Cambridge tonight and decided to have dinner. I ordered the Cioppino which is a seafood dish in a tomato sauce - typically the best dish on the menu. The mussels were smaller than anything I've ever had, the squid was chewy (nothing worse than chewy squid) the lobster had no meat, the clams were sandy and the white fish was dry. This dish is $32.00 and normally worth every penny, but sadly I'm so angry I wasted my time and money. I'll never eat here again!!
