.A. Burdick includes a flourishing, worldwide mail order business, retail chocolate shops in Boston and Cambridge, Mass., New York City and Walpole, N.H., a French-inspired restaurant and a small specialty grocery store.

The company has changed, but our methods and values have not. We still import only the best couvertures from Switzerland, France and Venezuela, made with cocoa beans sourced primarily from South and Central America and the Caribbean. Confections are made in small batches and, eschewing molds, we cut and shape our bonbons by hand. Complementing flavors and ingredients come directly from their sources, never from extracts, concentrates or artificial flavorings.

Efforts to procure ingredients of superlative quality led us to help establish the Cocoa Farming Future Initiative in Grenada. We support cocoa farmers on the famed β€œSpice Isle” by broadening the use of the fragrant and expressive beans they grow there.

I ordered a small signature milk hot chocolate , very rich, creamy and delicious. A friend ordered the signature white hot chocolate, which I’ve never seen before but it was like drinking a white chocolate candy bar, also worth a try. Price is more on the higher end, $5 for a small: portion is small but with how rich it is, a small was enough for me.

Whoa. I mean probably everyone knows about this place, but... whoa. So good. Their drinking chocolate would make me sell my car to get more. (Although I will say, it would be nice if there were an option to purchase a half portion, as it's VERY rich.)
The truffles are amazing. The desserts are GORGEOUS and very tasty. And the staff is so friendly... and patient. πŸ™‚

Very nice. Super cute for date!
The only thing is they gave me a different drink that I've asked for.

A little pricey but delicious. Taking a star off because I've had bad experiences with people at the back pastry counter who haven't been helpful. The exception to my bad pastry counter service is Sandra. Sandra is awesome. She doesn't wear a nametag but if you see encounter a lady who brightens your day it might just be Sandra.

Yum, love the chocolate. And the desserts are simply sumptuous. Pity that they don't sell any sandwiches.
