The food here is terrible. Time after time I've been let down by house of chang. I went to the bathroom once and there were dead roaches on the ground. There were also bugs flying around near the kitchen door in the restaurant that day. So many bad experiences. Believe it or not, I've even had a shard of broken glass appear in my food once. I took a spoonful of my soup and put it in my mouth, and I noticed a weird object in the mix. I took it out of my mouth to find out that it was a piece of broken glass from a cup or something that had fallen into my soup. I went to the manager and told her what happened and showed her the piece of glass and she just laughed it off like it was nothing. Just do yourself a favor and go to "Chang Sho", the much better, more elegant and delicious Chinese restaurant in Cambridge. This place will just let you down.

My family has eaten here about once a week since we moved down the street about 4 years ago. The food is always delicious, pickup is fast, and eating at the restaurant itself is a real treat. The people who work there are very kind. I've never eaten a bad item from the menu. I would recommend the sesame chicken, edamame, spring rolls, lo mein, and most delicious and unique the SESAME BALLS.

(Review for weekend dim sum) Dim Sum at House of Chang is a wonderfully relaxing and delicious experience. You want find the chaotic energy of many urban dim sum restaurants, nor the same quantity and diversity of dishes. Guests order through a single waitress, there are rarely more than two or three full tables, and there is no pressure to either make rapid uninformed decisions or to finish up quickly. What the smaller than average dim sum menu lacks in comprehensiveness (e.g., no soup dumplings or noodle rolls) it makes up for in consistent quality. Guests also have access to the full weekfay lunch menu. This morning, we had the turnip cakes (nice and crispy) , char su bao (good bun, inside full and not too sweet), congee (simple but perfect), garlic bok choy (vg), lotus leaf rice w chicken (OK), rice vermicelli with chicken (good), sesame balls (delicious), and a pot of green tea. It was a lot of food for the two of us, but we finished nearly every bite. Looking forward to our next trip!
