Wonderful night's sleep at this friendly establishment. We stayed on a Thursday night and the surrounding neighborhood was safe and quiet. We were able to walk to Inman Square for a family gathering the next morning and leave our car parked. Parking is limited but we were here early enough to get a spot. We would definitely return!

Good location, quaint house, and most of the staff are friendly. Unfortunately I had to give this location a 1 star because I was staying there for a few nights and each of those nights I slept horribly. Every footstep from our neighbors echoed loudly in our room. Doors regularly slammed shut and often shook our bed. It's an old wooden home, so don't expect beauty sleep.
Also, the wifi did not really extend into our room.

Stayed here with my wife and will never again. Poor sleep quality, improperly cooked breakfast, extremely loud guests next door, etc. Sorry Cambridge.

This is our favorite place to stay in Cambridge. We've stayed here on several different trips, including one for 8 nights. Since our son moved here we've tried several different hotels, and we highly recommend Harding House, in the Central Square area, but not too far from Harvard Square, either The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Keep in mind that it is a Victorian-era building. We're from the hot, humid South, so the window AC is more than adequate for a New England summer for us. We will definitely return.

2016 Update: For our most recent stay, the front desk staff were so very helpful in getting our complicated reservations arranged for us. We needed three rooms, two of them arriving a night earlier than originally planned, and they worked everything out for us cheerfully and efficiently.
2018 Update: This is still a great place to stay, even though our son moved a mile farther away than he was before. The beds are comfortable, the rooms very clean, and the breakfast features a variety that should please most anyone.
