Foundry on Elm is a new American brasserie, serving seasonally influenced food and drink that is authentic and familiar.
Didn't realize when making the reservation that this place is in the basement of a building. Long flight of steps down. Very nicely decorated like an old speakeasy but since it is in the basement it is windowless and rather loud. Decorated in dark tones which made the place seem even darker. As you might tell, I don't like dark , underground places so maybe it really deserves another half or full star.
Rodeo burger is decent. Corn bread is good. Big bar.
Watching Sunday afternoon NFL game. Crowd was fun. Didn't get too crowded till 9pm. Bartender was fun and talkative. Was watching on my own
The food I've eaten here has always been decent, but there's nothing memorable about this place...it's a generic gastropub. There are more interesting places to eat and/or grab a drink in the area. That said, better food than a place like Tavern on the Square.
Great beer selection at modest prices: pretty nice atmosphere too. A great first stop on a night of drinking. Never had the food but it looks good
Trendy spot, great drink selection, good service. Food quality is on par for a gastro pub, could be better in my opinion. Fair pricing.
